Not sure if you ...
Not sure if you like taco salad, but I like to make mine with cooked skinless/boneless chicken breast, season to taste, once it's done,shred/chop in into tiny pieces, put it in a baking dish, add shredded cheese, taco sauce/seasoning,& melt cheese,we like ours with topped with lettice, tomato, sour cream, taco sauce. Pepperoni is also a huge hit in our house so instead of ground meat for lasagna,I add the pepperoni, watch for it does get greasy so i dont cook the noodles as long to help assorb the grease

I use my crock pot ...
I use my crock pot for my pot roast. Although, I don't cook it in gravy. I use:

1 bag baby carrots
1 onion, halved and sliced (I like when it's done to have those cooked strips of onion)
3-4 russet potatoes, cut into chunks
2-3 cans of beef broth, or so it mostly covers the roast.
I also season with things like salt, pepper, parsley, and basil.

I do it that way, because I'm not a huge fan of beef gravy. But it cooks up beautifully, and falls apart after 8-10 hours on low.

It is hilarious ...
It is hilarious when you say it gets boring to eat the same thing over and over again. Because at the exact same time you start feeding your son a bottle and that is ALL he EVER gets to eat. ;P Just funny at timing.
