Check out my ...
Check out my misconception series of videos. I talk about many of these myths and the studies that refute them. The heart disease (one about cholesterol) one is most fun to refute as the evidence is so clear to the contrary. All factors of heart disease from high LDL, low HDL, and triglycerides are improved on this diet.

I can understand the skepticism as I was there myself, but I committed to doing it for 6 mos and then check for myself. All my risk factors disappeared.

@Animanga25 n my? ...
@Animanga25 n my? research I found Dr. Adkins was right all along. Fat is not dangerous! Many nutrients are fat soluble so you need it to get the right nutrition. High carb food especially processed and enriched along with refined sugar is the real cause of obesity..I Good research book Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes
Do not believe the media or AMA when it comes to nutrition ...I have lost and kept 70lbs off throwing away all conventional wisdom.
Get rid of Bread, Beer and Sugar!

I have made these ...
I have made these twice now - first as the patties and 2nd time I just put the meat mixture in the pan with the cabbage so it was like a "hamburger helper" type meal...only pork instead of beef....and cabbage instead of pasta...LOL
Everyone needs to try this - it was a hit with my husband and 4 year old as well!

I'm almost ...
I'm almost convinced to try Atkins because I'm very overweight, but I'm scared of the supposed risks (high fat= heart disease, etc.) but hope to overcome it. Last thing I need is to do intense cardio (as usual now) then collapse randomly. As you can tell I'm no nutrition by any means, I can only go by what I read. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! BTW those patties look delicious. ^_^
