This is a lecture by Jeffrey Smith, in which he summarizes the contents of this book. It’s not only informative, but amusing, because he casts a joke here and there.

Most processed …
Most processed foods have GM in them. Best to avoid them whenever possible. The big ‘4′: soy, corn, canola and cotton are in most processed foods. Cotton makes an oil for food mfg, not just clothing.

Vote with your wallet. Buy organics. Let farmers know you won’t purchase GM foods. If farmers don’t grow GM, Monsanto is gone.

Seeds contain thousands of years of info: how to grow: how to survive: how to feed us. Our food was never broken. It didn’t need ‘fixing’.

Excelent …
Excelent Information. Very Alarming.

…on an unrelated sidenote, his suit and tie makes me want to vomit.

What they have done …
What they have done to our foods has been the nail in the coffin for no longer allowing me to sleep through the disintegration of our society.

We must come together and create our own remedy together, without them. But, yes, food is my biggest issue and things will change if I have a say in it

BOYCOTT all GM …
BOYCOTT all GM foods. Is it easy to identify GM content in end products?

And I hate to point …
And I hate to point out the huge elephant in the room….but just eating large amounts of food alone cannot possibly produce the kinds of obesity that we are witnessing in america today.

We cannot possibly be this overweight without having foods designed specifically to create an obese condition in the body…..is this really the right direction?

Is this really progress?

Nuclear bombs are progress…why not we try to set them all off at the same time..maybe then we will really progress?

We are being killed …
We are being killed off by “nutracide”..knowledge is power

The vast descrepancy in wage earning is a direct result of the vast descrepancy between the quality of knowledge of a poor person than that of say the rockefellers.

how can one truly gain knowledge-power, if the foods that are being consumed do not provide the necessary nutrients that allow the brain to think and retain information-knowledge clearly or have to focus-energy-persistence to find out the truth

Nothing at all has …
Nothing at all has to be done to our crops…its all perfectly fine. The GM idea is to help further control us via our food by stealth and without us knowing. Our minds, bodies and wallets are affected. The cocktail of chemicals in the processed foods hurts us when combined. As far as GM food being good for us…Thats plainly illogical! GM is an attempt to make sure we cant even grow decent foodstuffs for ourselves.

Nah, sorry Kaitlyn- …
Nah, sorry Kaitlyn- ten years of work only to have the state agri minister approve GM on the night before Australia Day while everyone was distracted just proves that Governments simply don’t listen to the people any more. This was despite massively overwhelming public opposition

The small amount of willing shoulders are being asked to bear more and more weight while people just get lazier and more apathetic. I don’t have the passion to help humanity anymore. Back to animal welfare for me.

It is not GMO’s I’m …
It is not GMO’s I’m against – it’s the corporations like Monsanto who are behind them.

There is simply not enough known yet to go gambling with food security. The science is not even strong on GM but governments like mine in Australia are ignoring what the people want and taking all their cues from the shadowy giants who gave us pcb poisoning, agent orange, and permanent crop pollution.

Cars? That’s a risk we already take. Does that mean that we should put our hand up for more risk? No.

if people like you …
if people like you give up after ten years of “protesting” then of course we have no chance of a revolution! but if the few of us who do CARE continue to do so even if its only as actively as mentioning this to the people we do talk to daily then we can rub off on them and its a chain reaction. resyults will not happen maybe even in our lifetime unfortunately but we have to continue trying for our future children, and the least we can do is change our life not brainwashed by mainstream

GMOs are not all …
GMOs are not all bad. Take the evolution of transportation, primitive humans made do with horses, but now we happily use far better and cheaper (relative to income) cars – of course there’s the issue of car safety and pollution, and that must be worked on, but it’s not a reason to not use cars at all.

Cars kill over a million people worldwide a year, are you willing to give up your car? GMO’s purported negative effects, even the most extreme, pale in comparison.

@Getzrules lol, …
@Getzrules lol, yeah, i’ll drink to that. maybe i should have a little more appreciation for the freedoms i do in fact still have. for instance a big ice/snow storm is rolling in tomorrow. I think i’ll get hammered, tie a sled to my truck and tear up the highway. Maybe get a S.W.I “Sledding while intoxicated” if they can catch me!

@jprahhal I drink beer, but without genetic-crossing influences ;-) I just wanne add sth. The humans are a stupid folk, but they learn by time… so, give them a little time and some more dead people and they gonne be aware more and more

@jprahhal 15 is more than enough, brother trust me. Cuba was invaded by 85 rebels, 73 died… 12 started the revolution and succeeded ;-) so do not give up the hope. People are going to be more careful everyday… :-)

@Getzrules i agree, …
@Getzrules i agree, i was just speaking about the people who know yet do nothing about it. Its very discouraging at a protest when there are 15 people trying to make a difference. im sure more than 15 people know about the topic. its just a matter of breaking out of the norm.

@jprahhal its not …
@jprahhal its not about having balls. Its about knowledge. a lot of people, even high educated do not have any idea of what this can cause…

On Feb 18 2010 @ 12:12, jprahhal said: |

yeah if a majority …
yeah if a majority of us simply dont have enough balls to care, then i suppose a majority of us deserve to die. its too bad for the rest of us who think of life as a blessing and want to live it how god intended.

Yep, I’ve simply …
Yep, I’ve simply given up on grass-roots political action. Nobody cares and they generally think your a weirdo if you do.

I wasted ten years protesting this noxious crap all to no avail. Yesterday, the West Australian government decided “fuck the voters” and approved GM canola.

I’ve tried to talk to people about this but most people are more concerned with getting high, Grey’s Anatomy, shopping and playstation.

We are all doomed and I’m beginning to think that’s not such a bad thing.
