Maybe you have to much data on your computer. If you're using high detail try using low. Also try using less crowded worlds.

It depends. Some computers can't take high detail, you could switch off that if you're using that. Refreshing might do the trick, shutting it down and reastarting could help too. Also, I reccomend clicking best world select, it helps that. Sometimes the game just lags too, though.

Clear your cache on your computer, We always have problems with it when we dont for a while. Tools, internet options delete files for XP. If it still lags shut off any anti-virus software or firewalls. I run both my computers with out any protection and they havent had a virus in 3 years.

well, once in a while, runescpae laggs, it helps if you restart your computer. If that still doesn't work, switch to a world with less people. If that still doesn't work, then it's probably lagging for everyone, and runespcae is having problems. then you'll just have to try and play a few minutes or hour later.
