Guests listened to renowned sake sommelier Chris Johnson discuss and select sakes to perfectly complement each of the seven courses prepared at this Hell’s Kitchen eatery, famous for their homemade tofu and award-winning cupcakes. The evening’s dishes included roasted kabocha and chestnut soup, warm Japanese mushroom salad, pan-seared Saikyo miso cod and sake-and-ginger-braised pork belly. For a guilt-free finish to the night, guests enjoyed two of their decadent soy-based Japanese modern desserts including a peppermint mochi chocolate cake with green tea shiro-an cream and cranberry-pepper sauce.
