Jill Ovnik, Vegan-Gal.com:
“Next you’ll see me making a quick breakfast, lunch and dinner. These are all recipes that I make all the time. Really quick and easy and I like them all but this lunch is one that everyone loves. I mean everyone that has tried this really, really, enjoys it. I hope you will too.
What we’re going to be making today is garbanzo bean or chickpea salad. And it’s just like tuna or egg salad but rather than using those ingredients, you’ll be using chickpeas or garbanzo beans as the main ingredient. And you just drain a can and we’ll use this, and then the rest of it just like you’re used to, a little mayonnaise, we use Vegenaise here … And some dill (or sweet) relish, and then some celery and green onions … Also you can add grated carrots, a little diced red pepper. The great thing is the Cuisinart does all the work. You can add fresh dill (or cilantro). So, let’s get started.”

Secondly, stir turmeric, lentils and salt in five cups of broth. Reduce heat once it reaches the boiling stage. Cover the dish and let it simmer for about half an hour until the lentils are tender. If required, add remaining broth.

Vegetarian Spaghetti Sauce.Shallow fry 1chopped onion,1 capsicum, heap of mushrooms,a 415g can of nutmeat.Gently fry all ingredients until tender. Now add 1 410g can of tomato puree and a 500g jar of tomato paste.I use Leggo"s brand of tomato products.Chop up a large carrot and add about a cup of frozen peas.Let simmer gently for an hour or so until the carrot is soft. You will have enough for a small dinner party or a week of dinners for yourself.Serve on spaghetti with garlic and grated cheese. If you loved this you can contact me for some more recipes at carolhubac@yahoo.com.au Bonn appetite!!!!

— Enjoy the simplicity of whole, raw foods!
— Leave out isolated foods that have been chemically altered with heat, or the extraction of water.*(see clarification below)
— Eat the food that grows off the trees, or out of the ground.
— Each fruit & vegetable is a perfectly balanced piece of nature.
— Nature doesn’t isolate. Nature is whole & pure. She knows what she’s doing! She is infinitely intelligent & already had it all figured out for us! Have faith in her infinite wisdom.
— It’s NOT about eating 100% raw. It’s about eating 100% HEALTHY!
— It’s unfortunately possible to be 100% raw, but totally unhealthy…for example, if you’re basing your diet on heavy raw foods such as nuts, pâtés, dehydrated crackers & other dehydrated foods, raw vegan ice creams and other dessert treats.
*I know what some of you may be thinking…if he’s saying to not alter the food before we eat it, why on earth is he using a food processor? The answer is that what I mean by altering ones food, I mean altering it *biochemically* on the *molecular* level via heat (which for example denatures protein molecules, leading to a disruption of the molecular conformations themselves). I also feel that altering foods by dehydrating them, too drastically changes the way that nature intended for us to enjoy these foods. Our bodies are almost all water, so clearly, water is important to us. If the fruit or vegetable came with water in it, it should stay with it! Otherwise, our bodies would have to retrieve the same amount of missing water from our very own bodies in order to digest the dehydrated food properly. In my opinion, dehydrated foods literally dehydrate you. So please have them in moderation, and always with a glass of water…but do not make that a habit, as whole fruits and vegetables are always best!
